The Y.E.S. Program gives teens the opportunity to gain professional skills through skateboarding and make a positive impact in their community, all while earning service hours.

Thank you for your interest in applying for the YES program! Applications did officially close, however, we encourage teens to still apply, as their late application may be considered for the Summer 2023 cohort, or other future cohorts.
What is the time commitment for YES?
The YES program commitment includes attending workshops/trainings and supporting at programs/events, for a total of 50 hours of volunteer service. Some YES trainings/workshops are virtual, however all volunteering will be in person. Anticipate volunteering about 35 hours in person.
Not all of our dates and locations are solidified as of yet but we can give you a brief overview the expectations and the opportunities we will have available.
It is completely up to the volunteer to sign up for what day, time, and location they can show up to work.

Trainings are mandatory and include:
Team Building Activities are optional, depending on chapter, city there will be 1-5 activities

- 9:00-12:00 or 9:00-4:00 depending on the day and location
- Community meetups
- Youth Clinics
- Women and/or Trans Sessions
Trainings are mandatory and include:
- Orientation (Tentatively a weekday evening in early May 7:00-8:30 PM) 1.5 hours
- Virtual Ally Sk8 (5/30/23 6:00-8:00 PM) 2 hours
- Virtual Camp Training (6/6/23 6:00-8:00 PM) 2 hours
- In-person Camp Training (June - date depends on chapter city)
- Virtual Career Skills Training (6/20/23 5:30-8:30) 3 hours
- Heads Up Training (Done online at your own pace)
- Virtual Financial Literacy Training (7/25/23 5:30-8:30) 3 hours
- Career Panel (TBD Depending on Chapter City)
- Overnight skate Trip in the beginning of September if 50 hours are completed
