WHEELS OF FORTUNE 9 PRESS RELEASE

Final Schedule of Activities Announced for Wheels of Fortune 9
The world’s premier womxn's skateboarding contest weekend lands in Seattle for its ninth year, providing a
positive and progressive platform for underrepresented skaters from around the world.
April 2, 2018 – SEATTLE – Today, Skate Like a Girl Seattle proudly announces the final schedule of events and activities slated for the annual Wheels of Fortune (WOF) Weekend. In its ninth year, WOF is the longest running and largest skateboard showcase featuring female-identified (cisgender or trans), trans, and gender non-conforming athletes from around the world. Skate Like a Girl is proud to host WOF in the Seattle area, an event that is consistent with the organization’s mission to create an inclusive community by promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through the sport of skateboarding. This weekend long event culminates with a showcase at All Together Skatepark in Fremont May 6th, 2018, which will also be live streamed on various social media outlets. All are welcome to watch this fun and free event.

WOF showcases the world’s top professional competitors including current two-time world champion Lacey Baker, and has become a must-attend event on the calendar for local and international skaters ranging from ages from under 5 to 50+. While the competition on Sunday is a big focus, the weekend also includes a Friday night welcome party with video premieres and an art show, as well as a Saturday skate-themed scavenger hunt. With a full weekend of activities, skaters, supporters, and spectators of all ages can find many ways to get involved! To learn more about ways you can participate, visit skatelikeagirl.com/wof9!
