NEW! AT HOME SKATE CAMP - SUMMER 2020
We have made the tough call to not host in-person programming this summer. Instead, we are offering an adapted at-home skate camp program for Youth, Teens & Adults. Our goal is to provide an experience that is engaging and in-line with Skate Like a Girl’s mission to create an inclusive community by promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through skateboarding.
At Home Camp Overview
SUMMER PROGRAMS UPDATE
Dear Skate Like a Girl registered camp families and interested skaters!
We hope that you are healthy and staying safe during these challenging times. This is an unprecedented time and we’d like to thank you for your patience as we work through new challenges this pandemic has presented. Below is an update on the status of our plans for skate camp this summer.
As you know, local officials in our 3 chapter cities are starting to put forth plans for various businesses reopening. While deadlines and recommendations seem to be changing daily, our plan to run in-person summer programming has been amended. We have made the tough call to not host in-person programming this summer.
If you are in the financial position to do so, we encourage you to avoid the cash refund option if you have registered. 50% of our generated revenue is from fee-based programs such as skate camp, which make our free programs for high-needs children possible. By keeping your funds within our organization, you are ensuring that Skate Like a Girl will continue to serve the whole community, not just kids who can afford it. Skate Like a Girl is confident in our ability to sustain through this pandemic, and we look forward to skating with everyone in person as soon as we are able to.
We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and understanding.
