16 years ago, our founders created space and a sense of community for women and girls at skate parks; which were not always welcoming places. They felt passionately that girls and women could be positively affected by skateboarding and that through this sport, inclusive community could be built. Over a decade later, our team of staff and volunteers continue to empower young women and build bridges to create positive change in our city. Help us make 2016 our sweetest yet, by helping us reach our goal of $16K.
“I love the supportive vibe and how my girls feel like they have joined a community.” – Parent of Participant
"I love the people who are running this program! My daughter has learned and feels confident to try out her moves when she goes to the local skate park. When I asked her why she likes it she says it's because it is just girls." -Parent of Clinic Participant
"Skate like a Girl provides a great environment where beginners can feel comfortable and encouraged. It isn't intimidating, and participants are challenged to face their fears and feel confident." -Parent of Camp Participant
